Habitat for Humanity organized Habitat for Humanity ReStore, a non-profit home improvement charity stores. The NGO aims to provide decent shelter for Filipinos. You can shop, donate or volunteer at the facility in the Philippines.
“I donated some of the stuff that I don’t need anymore so that others can still benefit from it. I feel better because there’s a sense of fulfillment in happiness and sharing,” said Winnie Lazaro, a ReStore shopper, donor and volunteer.
The stock of ReStore depends on donations, you never know exactly what you’ll find at ReStore because it has plenty of choices available for interested Filipinos visiting the facility. It could be a brand new box of tile you’ve been needing to complete a bathroom project, or a vintage treasure you won’t find anywhere else. You can expect to find both new and gently used items throughout the store.

What does a Habitat ReStore offer?
Habitat ReStore tend to resemble a home improvement store — a very unique home improvement store.
The wide variety of quality goods you’ll find is a result of ReStore donations coming from everyone, from you and your neighbor after you’ve finished a project around the house to large restaurant chains that are remodeling their restaurants and donating the old furniture to ReStore.
At the majority of ReStore, you’ll find items that fit into the following categories: building materials, appliances and furniture. The items you’ll find will range from brand new to gently used, and there will likely be a wide range of brands and styles.
How do Habitat ReStore help the environment?
When a gently used building material or household product is donated to Habitat ReStore and then offered at a discount to a community member that needs it, that item is recycled and kept out of the landfill.
How can I support Habitat ReStore?
When you shop or donate at a ReStore, you are automatically supporting the Habitat mission worldwide. Additionally, ReStore is always looking for volunteers, who can either be working as customer service officers to interior decorators.
What are some examples of DIY projects made from items from Habitat ReStore?
Though at most stores you’ll often find new or nearly new items that are ready to use as soon as you get it home, many also scour Habitat ReStore for items that will be part of their next DIY or upcycle project.
