The Lucca Bakery at the UP Town Center in Katipunan has a cozy and airy ambiance which is best for morning breakfast or laidback coffee talks with your friends. They have several pastries and dishes on their menu that’s worth trying out if you’re looking for a good place to dine in the next time you decide to eat out. It is where I found the best Salmon Benedict so far.
For appetizer, we ordered the Spinach Artichoke Dip (Php 195) which is good for sharing. The french bread and their Spinach Artichoke dip was alright but it was nothing spectacular sad to say.
But their Salmon Benedict (Php275) was the best one we had at Lucca Bakery. The portions was pretty big which exceeded our expectations so it was a good value for our money. I find it quite cheap for a salmon dish.
Their smoked salmon was fresh which was on top of a Ciabatta bread and over it was the perfect Sunny Side Up with delicious Holaindaise sauce to complete this delicious dish. It had fresh Green salad as side dish. It was hard to finish as it was that big of a serving. Their American Breakfast (Php155) was also a big serving of two eggs, toast, jam and salad. Though you have to add extra to have either Bacon, Sausage or Ham (Php75). It’s quite filling for a breakfast dish if you order it for your breakfast in the morning.
Their Cafe Latte (Php115) was also good which was perfectly paired with all the dishes we tried. I also ordered for take out some Butter Croissants and Strawberry Cream Rolls which was around Php45 to Php60 (I wasn’t able to take note of the price and took photos of them sadly). Their pastries were pretty delicious and cheaper compared to breads from other gourmet bakeries.
The HodgePodge Lifestyle recommends Lucca Bakery for good food and good ambiance for dining with your friends and family if you’re in Quezon City area.
